Sony’s hot new Xperia Z3+ is quite the desirable upgrade to its range, seeing as this year’s enhancement sees the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset installed as the phone’s main processor. Sadly, though, the phone’s camera overheats within seconds when recording HD material or playing with the AR options, making it rather… useless.

Given we’ve seen plenty of accusations that the Snapdragon 810 is a little prone to overheating, it’s pretty easy to lay the blame on Qualcomm’s doorstep here — although Sony’s camera app has struggled with capturing HD footage in the past, so this is perhaps a fairly predictable outcome of the Sony/810 pairing.
